These terms cover the use of this website and the booking of a stay with Bungalow, LLC, trading as Santa Barbara Luxury Rental. Your stay itself is governed by the written rental agreement you sign for that stay; where the two differ, the signed rental agreement governs.
Enquiring is not booking
Sending an enquiry, or seeing a date shown as open on a property calendar, does not reserve anything. A stay is reserved only when we have confirmed it to you in writing, you have signed the rental agreement for that property and those dates, and the payment that agreement asks for has cleared. Availability shown on the site is our best information at the time the page was served and can change while you are reading it.
Rates, fees and taxes
Rates depend on the property, the dates and the length of stay, and are quoted to you directly. The quote we send you states the rate, any cleaning or other fee, any refundable deposit, and the Santa Barbara transient occupancy tax and assessments that apply. All prices are in United States dollars.
Paying by card
The payment page on this site takes card payments through Stripe for an amount you enter. Enter the amount on the invoice or quote we sent you; the page is a way to pay an agreed balance, not a way to book a stay or to hold a date. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own form and never reach this site. Stripe emails a receipt when the payment succeeds. Payments appear on your statement as Santa Barbara Luxury Rental.
If you pay the wrong amount, or pay twice, tell us at BungalowDowntown@gmail.com or +1 (805) 708-1981 and we will refund the difference to the card you used.
Cancellations and refunds
The cancellation terms and the refund schedule for a stay are set out in the rental agreement you sign for that stay, and we will show them to you before you sign or pay anything. Tell us as early as you can if your plans change: write to BungalowDowntown@gmail.com or call +1 (805) 708-1981. Refunds are returned to the card that made the payment, and normally reach it within five to ten business days of our issuing them.
If we have to cancel your stay — because the property has become unusable, for example — we will offer you another of our residences for the same dates where we have one, and refund in full anything you have paid that we cannot honour.
Using the residences
These are private homes in a residential neighbourhood. The rental agreement sets the maximum number of guests, the arrival and departure times and the house rules for each property, and booking a stay means agreeing to them. You are responsible for the people you bring, and for damage beyond fair wear.
What is on this site
Photographs, descriptions, floor plans and guest reviews are kept as accurate as we can make them, and we correct anything we find to be wrong. Photographs show the residence as it was when it was photographed; furnishings change over time. The text and photographs on this site belong to us and may not be reproduced without our permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, and the courts of Santa Barbara County are the place for any dispute about them.
